Everything is illuminated, there is no dark place in the universe.
Placing projectors, cameras and translucent screens connected by video conferencing software in tunnels and other dark places in multiple places in the world. The audience are passers by who accidentally realize that they can speak to each other. viewers come upon each other not knowing that it’s not just video, it’s a live feed.
It will be a collaborative effort between multiple video arts around the world and possibly brand sponsored and topical. It could be activism where some of the cameras are placed in locations where tragedies are happening and people can ask questions of real people experiencing tragedy.
The holograms will be projected live in a black room positioned in the center of the gallery with my paintings on the surrounding walls as illustrated below. The room is painted with the blackest black paint and patrons can walk through the room. While in the center of the room patrons stand in the middle of multiple live conversations between people around the world.
