The grand vision is a 2021st century collaborative artist’s studio a’la Andy Warehol, or Peter Paul Rubens for the classicists. In a social media driven market this doubles, triples, quadruples the exposure with every collaborating creator. We’re producing both physical and digital art. Peace Pysanky NFT
“Invest In Peace!”
The Hutsuls — mountain people of Western Ukraine – believed that the fate of the world depended upon the Pysanka. As long as the egg-decorating custom continued, the world would exist. If this custom was abandoned, evil – in the form of a horrible monster, forever chained to a mountain cliff – would overrun the world. Each year this monster-serpent would send out his henchmen to see how many Pysanky were created. If the number was low, the serpent’s chains were loosened and he was free to wander the earth causing havoc and destruction. If, on the other hand, the number of Pysanky increased, the chains were tightened and good would triumph over evil for yet another year.
In collaboration with Ukrainian Pysanky Artist Sofika Zielyk I am dropping the first run of the "Peace Pysanky NFTs" on Easter on ZERO Mint. A majority portion of the funds will go to the The Ukrainian National Women’s League (UNWL). We continue to design new eggs collaborating with contemporary Ukrainian artists and undiscovered refugee Pysanky artists wherever they are in the world. These eggs will be captured digitally and presented uniquely for every new NFT drop. As the "Peace Pysanky NFTs" grow in value, profit is given to relief and peace efforts in Ukraine as well as the refugee artist and their family. The artist chooses the relief or peace organization to direct the funding to.
Sofika’s eggs are showing at the Ukrainian institute of America until August 24th with many other artist’s eggs from the UNWL branches around the world. She will be making a special egg for this first Peace Pysanky and they will be displayed at the show. The NFT is a looping video of the egg slowly, elegantly rotating in beautiful natural light and can be projected on a wall in the home.
Sofika and Anthony are doing something more than specifically raising money for relief, we are valuing and investing in peace as a world. They see the cost of war as the value of Peace. As the world struggles to attach value to NFTs Anthony and his team want to place that value in quantifiable peace and holistic prosperity. They look at them like the war bonds of WWII, except these are bonded in peace.

“Lady of the Shell” Oil Painting and NFT

This piece is funded and in process of painting and NFT production. We are capturing content from every painting to become an NFT. AS well as Patreon and social media. We are collaborating with dancers, poets and musicians to work with our director Michael Isabell to create a video art piece to be project on the painting. prints and by itself. The NFT will be a collaboration between me, a dancer, a poet, a musical artist and film director. A portion of the sales will go to a women’s empowerment org.
The Lady Giraffe’s Light NFT
An oil painting merged with digital projection, a series of interactive prints and purely digital NFTs. Launching on the Algorand Blockchain this concept is a framed oil painting and prints with smart glass over them, or a retractable screen and projector as one unit. We chose my painting,“The Lady Giraffe'' to start with. I will make sunrise, day, sunset, night and dawn versions of the Lady Giraffe in photoshop(drafts seen below). Daniel and HG are creating a program that slowly transitions through night and day. The program knows where it is being projected, matching the transitions to the opposite side of the planet to its geolocation. This aligns the art with the thesis of my show, “no dark place.”(?) We are still conceptualizing how to activate the projector. I want the power switch to the projector to be connected with the art. Like answering a riddle, or a sentence spoken. Or a specific way to touch the frame.
Algorand is an energy efficient blockchain that aligns with the message of this piece and my personal values. As “The Lady Giraffe” grows in value a portion of that value will be donated to environmental protection organizations.
Here’s a very rough/low res draft of the concept. The color changes would be connected to the sun’s path on the opposite side of the planet to where it is being played. We may connect it to seasons too. So sunsets in the fall will be more orange and sunsets in the spring will be more pink with greater detail:
